Cookie Policy

Last updated: 15 August 2026

🍪

Short version: Nothing but the essentials runs until you choose. Analytics and advertising cookies are set to denied by default for every visitor, in every country. You can change your mind at any time — .

01

What Cookies Are

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser and sends back on later requests. Related technologies — localStorage and sessionStorage — also store data in your browser, but unlike cookies they are never transmitted with a request. This policy covers all of them.

Most of what Braxik stores is localStorage, not cookies. That matters: a value in localStorage stays on your device and is read only by JavaScript running on this site.

Categories We Use

03

Strictly Necessary

Note the first row: your cookie choice itself has to be stored somewhere, or the banner would reappear on every page. It is kept in localStorage rather than a cookie precisely so that recording your refusal does not itself require consent.

04

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and see which tools get used. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, and IP addresses are anonymised by Google before processing.

You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites with Google's browser add-on.

05

Advertising

Braxik is funded by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ad Settings, or across many vendors at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org. Google's own description of how it uses cookies in advertising is at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

07

Managing Your Choice

🎛️ Change it now

Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and takes effect immediately. Cookies already set by Google are cleared by your browser according to their own expiry — you can remove them sooner using the browser controls below.

08

Browser-Level Controls

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies and site data directly:

  • Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
  • Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari — Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Blocking strictly-necessary storage will make parts of the site forget your theme and your cookie choice, but no tool will stop working — they run without any stored state.
